The simple act of walking

The simple act of walking is a quiet discovery of the deep sensory pleasure of walking and slowing down. Of taking the time to open up our senses again and connecting to ourselves and the land around us. As I wandered and explored in Portugal, I let my senses take in my surroundings. I’d see what there is to see, hear what there is to hear, smell what there is to smell and feel what there is to feel. I let my feet pick the path and just noticed, with a genuine curiosity, where they took me. These photographs are the souvenirs of my daily adventures and a reminder to take the time to walk instead of run.
